Is SecureSend end-to-end encrypted?
No. SecureSend protects access with HTTPS, unguessable links, optional passwords, expiry and download limits. Version 1.0 does not encrypt file bytes at rest and is not end-to-end encrypted.
Does the recipient need an account?
No. The recipient opens the secure link and, when configured, enters the separately supplied password.
Where are files stored?
Files are stored under random internal names outside the public webroot of your own installation.
What happens at the download limit?
The download counter is updated atomically. The link closes automatically as soon as its configured limit is reached.
