Convert PDF to Word locally without uploading the file
Can a text-based PDF be converted into an editable Word file directly in the browser?
The point
Edit PDFs locally and convert them to Word
PDFLocal extracts existing PDF text page by page and creates a real DOCX file. This works for text documents but does not replace OCR for scans or complex layout reconstruction.
A good fit when…
This tool fits if…
- The PDF contains selectable text.
- You want editable content rather than exact layout replication.
- The document must stay on the device.
- A clear warning for scanned pages matters.
How it works
finished PDF and DOCX files without sending confidential documents to an online converter.
Merge, split or rotate PDF pages, create images and Word files, and remove standard metadata entirely in the browser without uploading files.
- Install: Upload the PHP application to your HTTPS hosting and run the guided setup.
- Configure: Set your company name, branding and the options needed for this workflow.
- Use: Share the generated link and keep the result in your own installation.
What it does not replace
PDFLocal Pro handles this one job.
So you know what to expect before you buy:
- The document consists only of scanned images.
- Tables, columns or forms must remain exact.
- You are trying to replace a desktop OCR suite.
